Want a wagon to drive to and from college. Wanna be some what fast (300 hp, 4-5 second 0-60)? Also need somewhat good reliability, not Honda level, just something that won't explode with preventative maintenance. E91 328i, unsure of how I'll get 300hp, also idk about the steptronic with more power E61 535xi, better transmission and power, but has all the problems with n54s F31 330xi, newer.
Thoughts on buying a used BMW wagon? Would buying a 3 or 5 series BMW wagon with ~75k miles be a bad idea? Are the issues as bad as everyone says they are? I asked the second question because I keep hearing that BMW's are known for leaks.: / I'm looking into getting one of the wagons. Thanks! Archived post.
So I'm currently search for a fun and very good looking wagon, but also on the not crazy high price range. I'm trying to decide what's the best BMW wagon model year or model itself. Any opinions on the matter would be cool!
Hi, Currently drive a Mazda CX-5. Great car, really love mazdas, but I want a station wagon. I've been looking around and it seems like most wagons in the US are from the 06-12 model years and are usually beamers (535xi wagon or similar), mercs (E500 Wagon or similar) or volvos (V70 or similar).

The price was right. Picked it up for a grand with a bad transfer case, cracked e46 wheels, broken hatch harness and all the other e91 stuff. Sunroof is currently broken. I was a BMW tech for like 15 years and I got paid a lot by the previous owner to fix all the normal n52k oil leaks and after the tcase and the sunroof he decided he was done.

The majority of BMW station wagons are fine automobiles, but only a few of them stand out in the crowd as truly excellent.
