Since i have spent most of my life on the gulf coast, i can say that it’s a pretty great area to live in! even though we are very close to the gulf of mexico, the tampa bay area has been shielded from a direct hit of a hurricane for many years. They can get close but we usually just get some rain and wind from the outer bands of the hurricanes.
