Hello all! i have wanted to do one of these for awhile. A little back story on me, i have been with hobart for close to 5 years in the field.
My goal here is to hopefully answer any questions regarding your commercial equipment. To many times have i seen 1k+ repair bills due in a large part to ignorance and not being properly educated in the units operation/maintenance. Corporate may not like it that i'm giving advice out, but screw them. Fire away!

Hi guys, so i have a problem with my mixer. I bought a 60's hobart a-200 and decided to completely restore it since it was rusty and the paint was chipping off everywhere. The grease in the gearbox had turned to the consistency of soup. Anyway, i gave it a sweet paint job, and repacked the transmission with new grease. However, there is a problem. Sometimes the transmission will stall and freeze the motor if i shift into gears 2 or 3. It depends on how much i tighten the grease cap on top of the transmission cover.
