Home Depot Bathroom Remodel Reddit

Anyone done a Kitchen/Bath remodel through the Home Depot Design Center? We had our first consultation and it seems like a great way to sync up many of the moving pieces into a nice funnel. However, I have my doubts on a big box type company handling it all. Give me the scoop reddit!

Toilet 2k. Etc. If you just strip a smaller bath down to the drywall, don't move anything, and re tile, new sink and toilet, bath tub and water protect enclosure for tile and glass. You could do it around 10k with modest materials (ie Home Depot stuff).

They generally are going to buy the cheap s*** at Home Depot. Structure the deal so you purchase the tile and grout, fixtures, accessories; the GC only provides labor and building materials (drywall, wood studs and blocking, etc.).

Big bathroom remodel needed. Should I go with Home Depot, Lowes, or try to find & choose my own contractor? Help please! New homeowner here looking for advice, like so many others before me I'm sure. Need to gut & redo the whole bathroom minus the toilet. Willing to pay for quality work, but don't want to get ripped off obviously.

Home Depot or Lowe's good at renovating? Any experiences? I've heard bad things about their renovation services. EDIT: thank you all for your responses! A lot of horror stories here, so I think I'll just stick to them delivering and installing basic kitchen appliances (which they also subcontract out elsewhere, if I remember properly).

Anyone ever use Lowe's or Home Depot to do a bathroom or kitchen renovation in your home? How'd it go? Just curious if their pricing, quality of work, etc, was on par with independent contractors. It's an interesting time to do a bathroom remodel and a good time to be in the reno/construction business. More and more people are buying and updating their houses but also don't want to run to Home Depot 300 times in a pandemic on DIY. Lots of companies in our area are booked.

The cost of a full-gut bathroom renovation can vary widely depending on factors such as location, the size of the bathroom, the quality of materials, and the extent of the remodeling.
