Bathroom Soap Dispenser Reddit

All I ask is a decent-looking (ceramic is nice) dispenser with a spout that doesn't SPIT! We have 3, and with 2 of them the soap shoots out like a gatling gun. Rebounds off your hand and spatters all over the bathroom mirror. Looks like an alien murder took place in the bathroom. Would love it if American vendors didn't twist the arms of Chinese manufacturers to make everything as cheap.

I cut the soap with a bit of water and it dispenses perfectly sized droplets of dish soap quickly but controllably. Clean, minimalist look and the circumference is the perfect size for easily picking up, even with soapy hands, and quickly dashing on what you need.

In looking at various hardware while planning for a new walk-in shower, I've come across these wall-mounted dispensers that store your shampoo, conditioner, body-wash, soap, whatever liquid you choose.

Though I don't really expect a soap dispenser to last a lifetime (this is the best place I can think to ask) it seems too often that the common automatic soap dispensers from amazon break really quickly. I am willing to spend more than the average soap dispenser if it will actually last a decent amount of time. Any ideas on where to look? maybe industrial/hospital/etc. quality?

I agree with the bar soap comment generally but liquid/foaming soap dispensers are also easy to come by and can last a long time. I've been regularly using a foaming soap dispenser from bath and body works for about 3.

I have a brown glass hand soap dispenser that actually looks similar to the Aesop one but that works well. I don't remember where I got it but I'm sure you can find something similar on Amazon. Then I just refill with whatever I like. I have a lot of my bath products decanted into brown glass bottles (plastic for the shower) that I label with an old school Dymo labeler. I don't have a lot of.

I haven't seen a liquid soap dispenser that's truly BIFL. Like someone else said, really for the price just refilling cheap dispensers until they fail years later isn't a bad option, but two other options are bars of soap or powdered soap dispensers actually seem pretty BIFL.
