by Nick Nowicki Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse is a superhero film that tries to emulate the experience of reading a superhero comic book. The film moves away from the live-action superhero paradigm and fills the screen with bold colors, halftoned graphics, and word. From the vibrant red and blue of Miles Morales' Spider-Man suit to the dark and brooding shades associated with his arch-nemesis, each character's color scheme conveys their personality, motivations, and conflicts.
For example, Miles Morales' suit reflects his youthful energy, optimism, and connection to the original Spider. At the end of Across the Spider-Verse, Miles travels to an alternate universe whose version of Miles Morales never became Spider. Miles Morales proved to be a huge win for biracial visibility, one praised by Stan Lee for being a role model to children of color.

For example, red and blue is used only in the scenes that are pivotal to Miles Morales' - the lead character - personal development. They don't appear anywhere else in the movie.
They wanted to make certain that every shot hit the emotional note it was supposed to. They wanted to bring a sense of wonder and closeness that Miles had with his family into the color of the film. How was that reflected in the color palette? A lot more violet.
Violet for Across the Spider. The color of Miles' spidey. This is probably why Miles' spider sense was originally green & purple but after the feedback with Peter Parker, his fate changes from becoming the villainous Prowler to becoming the next Spider-Man.
Moreover, this is why when Miles quickly grabbed the clothes from earth-42 Miles' room, his clothes were in Prowler's color themes. By Cindy Wang In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the use of comic-book-like graphics and multiple color schemes accentuate the emotions and thoughts of the young, Black, male protagonist, Miles Morales as he struggles to discover and establish his own identity in a "new" world in which he must put on the mask of Spider.
