Bathroom Panels Reddit

Hello, I am renovating my bathroom and am wondering how good wall panels are in the bathroom? I've seen some nice embossed tile effect ones and they look easier to maintain and install than regular tiles. Would love to hear honest reviews from installers or end users of laminate or solid surface shower wall panels. Please no input from manufacturers or sales reps or infomercials either.

The panels are expensive to buy, so you're likely to pay more per square metre, but potentially save money on fitting because they are quicker to fit and you don't have to pay a tiler. For our recent bathroom, the panels we liked worked out just as expensive as buying the equivalent tiles and paying the tiler, so that's why we didn't go with it. We did one shower with grouted tile and two showers with an engineered stone product. I only ever use Bushboard Nuance shower panels.
