I got a quote from Wren for £2650 for a 11 unit kitchen with a steel sink and laminate worktops (without appliances) I priced the same kitchen in Ikea and its £1900 appx. I understand Wren Kitchens is a popular option for kitchens in the UK. They recently opened in the US (CT/NY/PA) and I am considering them or IKEA for the kitchen I want, based on my budget.

Has anyone bought a US Wren Kitchen? The 3rd issue with ikea kitchens is the cabinets are slightly bigger than UK standard so you can't just fit any worktops. Ikea couldn't deliver the worktops on time to me last year so I had to source worktops elsewhere or risk waiting a month without a kitchen (which wasn't an option).

Looking to redo our medium sized kitchen. Like the wren stuff and they've quoted around £10k (though that includes £3k for the quartz worktop [shock]). We took a design from the Ikea kitchen planner to out local Wren Kitchens showroom and got them to quote for a near identical kitchen.

We have had a kitchen planned out by Wren but it seems like we could get similar quality at about 2/3 of the price from DIY Kitchens or Ikea. My husband isn't sure that we should leave Wren but it seems like a big difference in money for little to no quality difference. Has anyone used any ofbthese company's who can confirm who I should go with? AIBU to dump Wren?

I said look at Ikea because they are they same thickness cabinets 18mm and their prices seem a lot keener especially if u supply yr own appliances. Knocked up an Ikea kitchen plan in an hour that was 3D, to scale and using branded Which best buy appliances and saved more than 30% on Howdens allegedly "discounted" prices. The best kitchens and kitchen suppliers in 2025 as rated by real owners and independent Which? experts.
