ALEX rebates its commission to the client. The client's taxable benefit encompasses both the Commission Rebate and the Client Gift — the Total Gift amount may qualify in full as a charitable contribution deduction. Treatment of real estate commission rebates and associated charitable deductions varies by state and transaction structure. Consult qualified real estate and tax counsel in the transaction state prior to closing.
