Privacy Policy

The short version: Screenbox processes everything on your device. Your screenshots, text, and categories never leave your iPhone. We don't collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.

1. Who We Are

Screenbox is a screenshot organization app developed by Ferran Fernandez Garrido ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how Screenbox handles your information.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Screenbox is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

Your screenshots or photos
Text extracted from your screenshots (OCR)
Categories, keywords, or importance ratings assigned to your screenshots
Your search queries within the app
Your custom category names or organization preferences
Any content displayed on the Topic Map

3. On-Device Processing

Screenbox uses on-device AI to analyze and categorize your screenshots. This processing happens entirely on your iPhone. No screenshot data, extracted text, or classification results are sent to any external server — not even to us.

AI categorization is a best-effort feature that improves over time as you use the app. When you correct a category, Screenbox learns from your preferences to provide better results in the future.

Your screenshot database is stored locally on your device using Realm, encrypted at rest with a device-specific encryption key stored in the iOS Keychain.

4. Photo Library Access

Screenbox requests access to your photo library to scan for screenshots. This access is governed by iOS permissions that you control. You can revoke this access at any time in Settings > Privacy > Photos. We only read screenshot images; we never modify or delete photos from your library.

5. Subscription and Purchases

Screenbox offers optional premium subscriptions managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. When you subscribe:

Apple processes your payment. We do not have access to your payment details (credit card number, billing address, etc.).
RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and subscription status to manage entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, screenshots, or any app content. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Storage and Security

All app data is stored locally on your device.
The Realm database is encrypted using a 64-byte key generated with cryptographically secure random number generation and stored in the iOS Keychain.
Deleting the app removes all Screenbox data from your device. Your original photos in the Photos library are not affected.

7. Children's Privacy

Screenbox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal data from any user, this is inherently satisfied.

8. Third-Party Services

Screenbox integrates the following third-party services:

On-device AI — all AI processing runs locally on your device using Apple's Core ML framework
RevenueCat — subscription management (Privacy Policy)

9. Your Rights

Since your data stays on your device, you are in full control:

Access: All your data is visible within the app.
Deletion: Use "Clear All Data" in Settings, or delete the app entirely.
Portability: You can share individual screenshots and their extracted text from within the app.
Revoke permissions: Photo library access can be revoked in iOS Settings at any time.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Screenbox after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
