"Olive & June Cuticle Serum Longevity: How Long Does It Last?"

If you're a fan of Olive & June's cuticle serum, you've probably wondered how long a bottle lasts. After all, you want to make sure you're getting the most out of your beauty products. The lifespan of a cuticle serum can vary greatly depending on several factors. Let's dive into how long Olive & June's cuticle serum typically lasts and what can affect its longevity.

Understanding Olive & June Cuticle Serum

Olive & June's Cuticle Serum is a popular product known for its ability to strengthen and nourish cuticles, promoting healthy nail growth. It's packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and essential oils that moisturize and protect your cuticles. Understanding the product's composition can help you gauge how long it might last.

Size Matters: Bottle Sizes and Usage Frequency

The longevity of your cuticle serum is directly tied to how much product you have and how often you use it. Olive & June offers their cuticle serum in two sizes: a 0.5 fl oz (15 ml) mini and a 1.7 fl oz (50 ml) full-size bottle. The full-size bottle is expected to last longer, of course, but how long exactly depends on your usage.

  • Light usage (1-2 times a week): The full-size bottle can last up to 6-8 months.
  • Moderate usage (3-4 times a week): The full-size bottle can last around 4-6 months.
  • Heavy usage (daily): The full-size bottle may only last 2-3 months.

Storage and Environmental Factors

Proper storage can significantly extend the life of your cuticle serum. Olive & June recommends storing the product at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Exposure to these elements can cause the serum to break down faster. Additionally, keeping the bottle tightly sealed when not in use can prevent air exposure, which can also degrade the product.

How to Make Your Olive & June Cuticle Serum Last Longer

If you want to make your cuticle serum last longer, consider the following tips:

  • Use a small amount each time. A pea-sized drop is usually sufficient for both hands.
  • Don't dip your nails directly into the bottle. Instead, apply the serum using a cotton swab or your fingers to avoid contamination.
  • Store the bottle upright to minimize air exposure when the cap is off.
  • Replace the cap tightly after each use.

Gracie on Instagram: "When I follow this routine, my regular polish manicure looks great for 5+ days. A few things to note:

-It’s a good idea to avoid water for about 30 minutes to an hour before you paint. You can wash your hands, but avoid prolonged exposure.
-Here I’m using Olive and June dry drops (which are jojoba-based) to hydrate, because my nails were still wet. Throughout the week I would use regular cuticle oil. This keeps your cuticles from overgrowing and prevents nail polish from getting brittle and chipping.
-I cap the tips on all steps to seal the free edge
