I have seen sunflower seeds of type - full black colour or full brown colour or black/grey striped or brown striped. Not sure what is the difference between them and it will be great if anyone can tell me the same. Also which one is better for feeding birds?
Tui Aviary Mix is a blend of fine seed plus the addition of sunflower seed. It is a generic mix that makes it ideal for feeding a mixture of birds from canaries and budgies through to larger cockatiels.
When choosing a seed mix for your birds, go for very best you can get hold of. It should contain a good balance of grass seed, grain, legumes and oily seed (see the lists in the sections below). However, the ideal seed mix isnt to be found in any one type of commercially available budgie food.
