For the dedicated player and serious enthusiast, the pursuit of the perfect table is a journey that defines the very soul of the game. It is a quest for consistent roll, pristine felt, and that exacting level of craftsmanship that transforms a simple play surface into an instrument of precision. In the crowded landscape of premium billiards, the Olhausen Champion Pro Pool Table stands as a benchmark of excellence, a name synonymous with uncompromising standards and tournament-grade performance.
The Olhausen Legacy of Craftsmanship
To understand the Champion Pro is to appreciate the heritage of Olhausen Billiards itself. With a history deeply rooted in American tradition, Olhausen has long been a guardian of the sport's integrity, supplying tables that meet the rigorous demands of professional competition. The Champion Pro line is not merely a collection; it is the distillation of decades of engineering expertise and a relentless pursuit of perfection. Every component, from the kiln-dried slate to the precisely machined rails, is selected and installed with a singular purpose: to deliver a playing experience that is authentic, fair, and built to last a lifetime.
Unrivaled Construction: The Heart of the Champion Pro
The Indispensable Three-Piece Slate
The foundation of any great pool table is its slate, and the Champion Pro leaves no room for compromise. Utilizing a single, continuous 3/4-inch American maple slab, the table is sectioned into three precise pieces for flawless leveling. This specific construction is the gold standard for serious play, allowing for minute adjustments that ensure a perfectly level playing field, shot after shot, year-round. The slate is expertly ground and polished to a mirror-like finish, providing a true and predictable roll that eliminates any variables between the cue ball and your target.
Frame and Rails: Engineering for Stability and Performance
Supporting the immense weight of the slate is a bedrock of solid construction. The Champion Pro features a massive, multi-piece hardwood frame, typically constructed from select kiln-dried maple. This structure provides the necessary rigidity and stability, preventing any unwanted flex or vibration that could affect a shot. The rails are another critical element, crafted from high-quality rubber and precisely calibrated to offer consistent rebound characteristics. The result is a forgiving yet responsive cushion that players can rely on for accurate angle play and positional strategy.
The Playing Surface: Where Art Meets Function
Crowning the masterpiece is the playing surface, where artistry and function converge. Olhausen uses only the finest speed cloth, a premium woolen fabric that is the choice of professionals worldwide. This cloth is meticulously installed by experienced craftsmen, ensuring a seamless and taut surface with a consistent nap. The choice of color and grade is often customizable, allowing you to tailor the visual experience to your personal taste without sacrificing the performance qualities that define the Champion Pro. The cloth provides a true roll and excellent durability, resisting wear and maintaining its pristine look season after season.
The Champion Pro: An Investment in Your Game
Choosing an Olhausen Champion Pro is more than purchasing a piece of furniture; it is an investment in the very essence of your pastime. This is a table built not for a temporary phase, but for a lifelong passion. Its value appreciates as it becomes the centerpiece of your game room, a testament to your commitment to the sport. The consistent and predictable play it offers serves as the perfect platform for skill development. Every bank, every cut, and every stop shot will feel true, allowing you to hone your technique with confidence and precision that lesser tables simply cannot provide.

Recognizing that every player is unique, Olhausen offers a range of customization options for the Champion Pro. You can select from a variety of premium leather and exotic wood veneers for the cabinet, allowing the table to seamlessly integrate with your personal style and existing décor.
