Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Pickyland MB, operating the PickyFaith service ("PickyFaith," "we," "us," or "our") — a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, with its registered office in Vilnius, Lithuania — collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the PickyFaith mobile application (the "App") and any related websites or features, including www.pickyland.com (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service. We may update this Policy from time to time; we will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

1. What We Collect

a. Account Information: When you sign in using Sign in with Apple, Apple provides us with a unique user identifier (UID) that is used to authenticate your account. We do not receive or store your Apple ID email address unless you explicitly choose to share it. Guest (anonymous) users are assigned a temporary anonymous UID and no personal information is required.

b. Profile Information You Choose to Provide: The following are entirely optional and can be set to "Prefer not to tell" at any time:

c. Content You Post: Any polls, votes, comments, images, or other content you create or submit through the Service ("User Content") is stored in our systems. Please see our Terms of Use for details on how we handle User Content.

d. Device Identifier (Push Notification Token): If you grant permission for push notifications, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token in association with your account. Apple classifies this as a Device ID. It is used solely to deliver push notifications from PickyFaith to your device and is removed from our servers when you sign out.

e. Usage and Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as features accessed, screens viewed, and in-app events (for example, creating a poll or casting a vote). These analytics events are linked to your account. Firebase Analytics may also collect certain device information (such as device model, operating system version, and app version). This data is used to understand usage patterns and improve the Service. PickyFaith does not use this data to track you across third-party apps or websites.

f. Crash and Diagnostics Data: We use Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google LLC) to automatically collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the App encounters an error. This may include device information, App state at the time of the crash, and a stack trace. Crash reports are linked to your user account ID to help us reproduce and fix issues. This data is used exclusively to identify and fix technical problems in the App.

g. Support Communications: If you contact us at support@pickyland.com, we collect the content of your message and any information you voluntarily include (such as your name or email address) in order to respond to your request.

2. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

We do not engage in cross-app or cross-website tracking. The App's privacy manifest (NSPrivacyTracking) is set to false and no tracking domains are declared.

The App uses on-device storage (UserDefaults) to save local preferences and UI state only. This data is not shared with third parties and is not used to identify or track you.

Note: While we do not directly access or store your IP address or hardware device identifiers, third-party SDKs we use (see Section 4) may process certain technical identifiers as part of their standard operation. Please review their respective privacy policies for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

For EU/EEA users, our lawful bases for processing your personal data are: (i) performance of a contract (to provide the Service to you); (ii) your consent (for optional profile information and push notifications); (iii) our legitimate interests (for security, analytics, and improving the Service, where these interests are not overridden by your rights); and (iv) compliance with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service providers to operate the Service. Each processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

These providers may process data on servers located outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we collect against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include the use of Firebase App Check to verify that requests to our backend come from authentic PickyFaith app instances. However, no security system is completely impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data in all circumstances. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete your profile data, avatar, and associated personal information from our active systems. Some residual data (such as aggregated statistics or content shared with other users) may persist in anonymised or aggregate form. We may also retain certain information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

Push notification tokens (FCM tokens) are deleted from our servers when you sign out of the Service.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we may have collected such information, please contact us at support@pickyland.com.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data. These include:

To exercise any of the above rights, please contact us at support@pickyland.com. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days. EU/EEA users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate or another supervisory authority in their country of residence.

California Residents: If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendment (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and share, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise your rights, contact us at support@pickyland.com.

10. Push Notifications

We may send you push notifications about activity on the Service. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your use of the Service.

11. Links to Third-Party Sites

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. The revised Policy will be effective upon posting unless we state otherwise. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
