Modern vehicles often have air conditioning problems due to either operational or airflow issues. To determine the fault, it is important to first evaluate your vehicle. An inspection of every component of the air conditioner system is the first step in evaluating the service. After determining the type of vehicle's air conditioning system, the technician connects the A/C service machine. Next, the technician tests the pressure, measures the refrigerant level, and compares the results to the manufacturer's specifications. The technician will then be able determine whether the problem is due to a leak, lack or obstruction of pressure or difficulty with the compressor.
Undoubtedly, a leaky air conditioner is bad news. But why? The short answer? Age and moisture. Over time, rubber hoses or seals in your A/C can lose elasticity. Freon can escape. Your A/C will be destroyed from the inside if moisture is mixed with its refrigerant. This is something that should be analyzed and fixed by a skilled mechanic.
You are now up to speed with the on-board diagnostics system. It would appear that the O2 sensor and airflow sensors, the electric load detector, alternator circuit, and the evaporative emissions control system have all given up on working. Perhaps it is simpler. Some Honda Civics may have all the above DTCs set by a bad terminal connection or an improperly connected part of their under-dash fuse/relaybox.

After the system has been thoroughly vacuumed and no leaks have been identified, the recharging process can begin. To identify future leaks, the recharging procedure adds refrigerant to the system.
