The rare 1993 BMW 530iX Enduro Concept, a one. Six years before the X5 E53 took the SUV segment by storm, BMW had this early attempt at making a sport utility vehicle. Built by BMW Individual strictly as a one-off for Auto Motor und Sport, the 530iX Enduro was a more practical iteration of the E34 Touring.

Increasing the displacement of the M50B25 up to 3 litres it managed to produce 246hp and 316Nm of torque. It was meant to be an off road SUV for sports lovers. 6.

The 530iX Enduro even received an adjustable air suspension to adjust the ground clearance in four levels. The power of the M50 engine has. At its release, BMW accurately described it as "Sophisticated styling that is aerodynamic while in motion, and admired when parked." For function, the E34 525i was the first BMW to get the M50 2.5-liter inline 6-cylinder engine in 1992, what I consider the first of the "modern era" engines.
