The Build 1998 BMW Z3 M Roadster 'Track Car' This track-focused Z3 M-Roadster has all the ingredients to make for a great track day - low mass, a naturally aspirated motor, and a huge list of upgrades to give it more go and more grip. The suspension has recently been completely revamped with new shocks, tie rods and bushings.
Hey enthusiasts, I've decided I want to look into buying a car for pure track use. After looking through all the options (miata, e36 m3, ect.) I've narrowed my options down to a z3. Specifically a 2000 2.5 L roadster, manual transmission of course. The one I'm looking at has 126,000 miles and is going for about 5,000$.
An mx5 will be much quicker than a z3 they aren't that good a car. Also a z4 do have stupid sized wheels which will be expensive on tyres and also brakes so will cost a lot more. Also to modify.

Hello all, just recently completed phase one of my Z3 coupe track weapon build. Car will stay as is for quite some time while I try to extract as much potential as I can (and driver improvement). Really wish BMW would consider a line of models that reflect this small sports car vibe because I believe it is sorely missed. Cheers!

Also use to sell and trade race items or track developed Z3's - but be responsible and courteous to your fellow Z3 owners and no attacks on price or product. Please keep all posts, sales, etc. related to track and racing items - I'll.
