Hey all, my 645 vert should be here on Wednesday. I can't wait! For anyone who has a 6 series and is used all year round; can you please tell me how it handles in the snow. I have had 3 cars with rwd and have always had a little problem regaining control if there was a situation. How does.
I found a 6 series with RWD (I think they're pretty much all RWD). I live in Western Canada in Alberta and the winters suck. We get lots of snow and it stays probably for 6 months out of the 12.
Hello, Hi, my name is John and I just signed up to this forum and it is really nice. I live in MI. I have been wanting to buy a 6 series for a few months now. I have been doing a lot of reaserch on it. (Not sure if I want a 645ci, 650i, or an M6) I test drove a 650i the other day and LOVED it. My only concern about it is how it does in snow. The dealer said it would do good with snow/winter.

Jerome's BMW 6 Series (later seasons; sleek, expensive, more agile than his prior vehicles (wanted out of the game by the end?)) Louie's Mercedes 300SL (flashy, smooth but somewhat fragile/unpredictable) Gustavo's Chevy C10 Blazer (big, strong, durable regardless of terrain, can handle the family too).

A 6er Fleet Yeah man I hear ya. If I lived in the colder climates (Harsh Snow areas), I would definately follow you logic and get a pickup/SUV/SAV or somethin'. I agree with you on owning one of the '85-'89 6 Series Sharks and an '06 650i or '07 M6. That would be nice my friend, very nice.
BMW is known for building the ultimate driving machine, delivering exhilarating performance and handling. But when snow falls and streets become slick, there are questions over how well these luxury performance vehicles manage winter conditions. The perception is that rear-wheel drive BMWs struggle in the snow compared to SUVs or trucks. So what's the reality? Are modern BMWs good in the snow?

Ideally, you will fare much better in one of the X Series BMW's as well, purely because they're designed for harsher driving conditions. Granted, BMW's aren't as good in the snow as some other cars, but it's definitely possible to drive your beemer without skidding around or getting involved in accidents.
