Hi everyone. I swapped my engine for an identical one. Once I put everything back and start the beast there is no fuel coming up to the injectors. Also when I get all the lights on in the dashboard I don't hear that noise when fuel pump gets ready just before you start engine. Any of you guys kno.

Too dumb for a Smart car, so looking to increase my iQ with a Scion. Build up of Scion / Toyota iQ.

Here is a comparison shot of the old engine, trans and the new R1 engine, I estimate the R1 weighs about one third the weight of the other 2, and factor in all the other parts that were attached the saving in power to weight is amazing. I will weigh the IQ once the conversion is fully completed to see exactly what the difference is.

Toyota iQ 1.0 to 1.3 engine swap? Hi everyone, My friend has a 2009 iQ that has engine problems. It consumes a lot of oil and the service guys said it's an engine problem they can't fix. I was wondering if you can fit a 1.3 engine from Toyota Yaris in there because the engine codes appear to be the same. Has anyone heard about this before?

I've been wondering if any U.S. models of other models of Scions or Toyotas have engines and transmissions that would be interchangeable with the IQ. I would think that Toyota would have used the same drivetrain in some of their other models of cars to save on manufacturing costs. I really.

If I can put a Toyota engine in the van it will be a perfect fit in the set! 👍 Because of the unusual layout, the engine needs to be at the back of the van with the driveshafts infront (bit like a 911 lol). Most FWD setups have the driveshafts behind the engine BUT the IQ has the ideal gearbox with the driveshafts in front.
