Pip the squirrel loved nuts. He found a big, round one. "My nut!" he chattered.
Barnaby the bear cub loved berries. He found a bush full of red ones. "My berries!" he rumbled.
Pip sat under a tree. He started to eat his nut. But he felt a little bit lonely.

Pip saw Barnaby. Barnaby saw Pip. Pip held out half his nut. "Want some?" he squeaked. Barnaby held out a paw full of berries. "Want some?" he grumbled.
They swapped! Pip ate berries. Barnaby ate nut. "Yummy!" they both giggled. They were very happy friends.
