The turkey is the star of the Thanksgiving meal, so why not pay homage to it through sketches? Here are a few turkey sketch ideas that are easy and fun:
- Simple Turkey Silhouette: Draw a basic turkey silhouette using a dark marker or crayon. Then, have everyone decorate the inside of the silhouette with their choice of colors and patterns.
- Turkey Puppets: Using construction paper, draw and cut out turkey shapes. Attach them to popsicle sticks, and let everyone decorate their turkey puppet with markers, googly eyes, and other embellishments. Put on a puppet show to entertain the group!
2. Fall Harvest Sketches
Capture the essence of the fall season with these harvest-themed sketch ideas:
- Pumpkin Patch: Draw a large pumpkin patch scene on a poster board or large sheet of paper. Have everyone add their own pumpkins, leaves, and other fall elements to the scene.

Sketching the Thanksgiving feast is a fun and delicious way to engage your guests. Here are some ideas:

Thanksgiving Sketch Ideas for Kids
Involving kids in Thanksgiving sketches is a fantastic way to keep them engaged and entertained. Here are some kid-friendly ideas:

Thanksgiving Sketch Ideas for Adults
Don't forget to include the adults in the sketching fun! Here are some ideas for grown-ups:
- Thanksgiving Charades: Write Thanksgiving-themed words or phrases on slips of paper (e.g., "Pilgrim," "Cornucopia," "Macy's Parade"). Act them out while your team tries to guess the word or phrase.
- Sketchbook Challenge: Give each adult a small sketchbook and a prompt (e.g., "Draw your favorite Thanksgiving memory," "Sketch what you're most thankful for this year"). Set a timer for a few minutes, and have everyone share their sketches when time's up.
