Replaces the original fitting kit which is often found damaged, distorted, rusted or even rotten beyond being safely usable as it is positioned in a very vulnerable area, trapping road debris and water. It would obviously need a mounting kit to fit it. And speaking to that, the mounting holes in the belly pan are much lower than the stock BMW belly pan (assuming a brick engine of course) or my Flat Racer aftermarket one which fits like OEM unit. The belly pan, often called a "belt spoiler," adds a sleek and aggressive touch to the BMW K100's design.
