Hey there, I currently have a Grand Highlander, it uses the app as well. I was wondering how do you stop the location of the car to update on the app or how do you turn it off so it doesn't appear on the app. Also how can you stop from sharing its currently location to other users.

Toyota data tracking - how to turn off? There was a disclaimer in my new RAV4 that said a Toyota is automatically collecting data, including my location at all times. It also said I can turn this off by pressing the SOS button in the vehicle. Has anyone done this? How can I confirm that data is no longer being sent to Toyota?

Login to your Toyota app and from the main vehicle dashboard, select the "Find" tab. However, even when I have finished using the app, location services continue to be used and the only way I can turn off the location service is by physically force closing the app (e.g. swipe up to close it fully). This is on iPhone.
In my Toyota App, Insure Connect and Service Connect Communication are both disabled and were already disabled previously without my input. The only one active is Connected Services Master Data Connect. When I went to turn that off, it would not allow it since I have an active AT&T WIFI hotspot subscription (that I use regularly).
On Toyota Touch 2 multimedia systems, privacy mode can only be set from the car. For all other multimedia systems, it can be set using the MyToyota App.
