EA and My BMW App - Data Unavailable General BMW i5 and 5-Series (G60 / G61) Discussion. Usually I unlock the vehicle to remove the charging cable. When I do this at the end of a charging session the app updates with the charging data. I am assuming the vehicle has to be awake (unlocked) to communicate the charging data.
