Overall I think the RS is the better looking and absolutely by far better sounding car. The GR Corolla seems more focused (pun intended) and developed as an actual rally car. While the new 2023 Toyota GR Corolla might not have as long and storied a past as the Focus RS, it is still bred from rallying intentions.
The GR Corolla can trace its roots back to the Celica GT-FOUR, a car that granted Toyota much success in the Group A World Rally Championship with two drivers' championships and two constructors' championships. For street the Toyota is a better application and just a better product reliability wise IMO.
