Naruto had immense potential to give fans the ultimate shōnen hero, but as the Seventh Hokage aged, his adult version sadly failed to meet expectations, at least in terms of design. As the titular protagonist of Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki had an inspiring journey. It's always exciting to see Naruto characters make an appearance in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

However, many of the character designs in Boruto didn't meet the expectations of fans. In all honesty, naruto as a show has many flaws such as the bland female characters, underused side cast, plot holes, retcons, fillers, war arc, aliens etc but all of that went over my head because i was like 12. If i had watched naruto as a young adult, i would have recognised these flaws which would have reduced my love for the show as a whole.
