Connectivity-Focused Tying For Robust And Responsive Footwear

Fascinating Details and Images of Connectivity-Focused Tying For Robust And Responsive Footwear

This exploratory study examines the effects of the Infinity Walk, pronation, and footwear conditions on brain effective connectivity patterns. A continuous-wave functional near-infrared spectroscopy device collected data from five healthy participants.

This work aims to analyze challenges to ensure interoperability, digital transformation and enterprise integration for the Footwear Digital Manufacturing Networks (FDMNs) towards a collaborative and interoperable Society 5.0. The study discusses the potential of smart footwear in medical applications, particularly for patients with diabetes, and the ongoing research in this field. Current footwear challenges are also discussed, including complex construction, poor fit, comfort, and high cost. This exploratory study examines the effects of the Infinity Walk, pronation, and footwear conditions on brain effective connectivity patterns. This work focused on examining the effective connectivity (Granger causality) between different brain regions during Infinity Walking with different footwear, particularly medially wedged support shoes to reduce overpronation during Infinity Walking. Self-tying shoes, also known as self-lacing or auto-lacing shoes, are a category of smart footwear that automatically adjusts and secures the fit to the wearer's foot using integrated sensors, motors, and cable systems, eliminating the need for manual lacing or tying.
