
Shikhar dhawan hometown in Delhi, India. He attended St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School in Delhi and then went on to study at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Dhawan made his first-class debut for Delhi in 2004, and in 2006 he was selected for the India A team. He was then selected for the Indian cricket team in 2010 and made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Australia.
Dhawan made his first-class debut in 2003–04 and was selected as a member of the Indian national team in 2010. He made his Test debut against Australia in 2013, scoring a century and ending the series with the Man of the Series award. He has also won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 and the ICC World Cup in 2019.
In 2014, Dhawan was named the ICC ODI Player of the Year and the ICC T20I Player of the Year. He was also awarded the Arjuna Award in 2020.
Dhawan is the first Indian batsman to score a century in each of his first three Test matches. He is also the fastest century scorer in Indian Test history, scoring a century in 85 balls against South Africa in 2019. He also holds the record for the most number of centuries in a single ICC tournament, having scored four centuries in the 2019 ICC World Cup.
Dhawan is also the first Indian batsman to score a century in his maiden ODI appearance, a feat he achieved against Australia in 2013. He has also scored a century in a T20I match, against New Zealand in 2012.
