An extraordinary amusement park has been seen orbiting around the home planet of Sonic the Hedgehog, and rumors are spreading that an alien race of Wisps, who have a unique colorful energy, are being held captive there by the evil Dr. Eggman. Its greatest achievement is that one does not have to be a super. Sonic Colors is a game that focuses itself on game-play above all else, and it succeeds at that a lot, thanks to the tight controls for platforming with the double jump and stomp, the fun wisps with varied and interesting uses, and the red rings adding replay. It was released in November 2010 for the Wii, with a separate version developed by Dimps for the Nintendo DS. The game is set in Egg Planet Park, an interstellar amusement park built by Dr. Eggman.

Review codes for Sonic Colors Ultimate have been sent out. Critics have started posting their reviews which are mostly favorable. Sonic Colors Ultimate currently holds a Metacritic score of 76/100 with scores similar to the scores the original release received.

Sonic Colors Ultimate is an excellent remaster of an already great game with many gameplay. Sonic Colours offers a mix of 3D action and classic Sonic side. I mean Metacritic aside, I preferred Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic Heroes, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Riders, Sonic Advance 1 - 3, Sonic Rush 1 & 2, Sonic Battle, and Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood to Colors.

In my opinion, Colors, Generations and even Sonic Lost World scores on Metacritic aren't higher than this just because Sonic isn't so respected among critics.
