If you purchase products, we may collect order history, product selections, shipping information, and transaction status.

Payment details are never stored by us and are processed securely by third-party providers such as Stripe or PayPal.

When you use Bright Home Lights mobile apps or connected lighting devices, we may collect:

This data is used strictly to operate smart-lighting features, maintain device connectivity, and improve reliability. We do not use this data for advertising.

D. Location Data

The mobile app may request access to your device’s precise location to enable schedule, sunrise/sunset, and geofence automation features.

Bright Home Lights Cloud may use location in the background to run arrival and departure lighting automations, such as turning lights on when you enter or leave a saved area, even when the app is not in use.

E. Microphone / Audio Access

The app may request access to your device’s microphone for the Music Sync feature.

F. Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect device type and operating system, app interactions, crash reports, diagnostic logs, and performance metrics. This information helps improve app stability and functionality.

We use trusted third-party services including Google Firebase Authentication, Firebase Firestore, Firebase Cloud Functions, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. These services may collect app interaction data, device identifiers, crash reports, and performance metrics. Analytics and crash data are processed by Google on our behalf to improve service performance and reliability.

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, analytics and diagnostic providers, and legal authorities when required by law. All service providers receive only the information necessary to perform their services.

We retain data only as long as necessary. Accounts are retained while active; orders are retained for legal and accounting requirements; device data is retained for service operation; and crash and analytics data are retained per provider policies.

Users may delete their account directly within the mobile app if available, or request deletion by contacting support@brighthomelights.com.

Upon deletion, authentication credentials are removed, associated device mappings are deleted, cloud-stored presets and schedules are removed, and MQTT credentials are revoked. Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted.

California residents may request disclosure of collected personal data and deletion of personal data. We do not sell personal information.

Users may request access to personal data, correction or deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability.
