Missionary Spotlight, May 2026: HC and Chingboi Hangsing

Updates

1) Our new Church Building: Pray for continued building progress.

2) Day Spring Academy: Despite the challenges and distractions posed by the ongoing ethnic conflict, our school has continued to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Praise God for providing scholarships for these poor students through our friends and supporting churches.

3) Engedi Camp & Retreat Center:The covid 19 and the ethnic conflict has slowed down the camp for the past four years. We are pleased to see new signs of recovery with camp programs lineup for the next couple of months.

Please Pray

Please pray for our spiritual health.

Pray for God's leading and provisions for our various ministries, orphanage,

school (Day Spring Academy) and edged Camp.

Pray for our missionaries in Nepal, Myanmar, and India.

Pray for funds to complete our church building project. The new building will seat seven hundred plus people with the gallery.

Membership Class

If you would like to receive more information about the values and philosophy of Grace Church, or if you have been thinking about joining this body of believers, our next class will be immediately following the morning worship on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Attending does not necessitate membership, but anyone desiring to become a member of Grace Church needs to go through one of these classes. Please contact the church office to sign-up and receive the information handouts for the class. Baptism

Our next baptism will be Sunday, May 31, 2026. If you desire to be baptized, call or email the church office to receive the necessary information (office@gracechurchrootstown.com). Sign up deadline is Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Grace Gear

We are excited to announce our brand-new Grace Gear Merchandise! See our full collection at the Grace Gear table located by the Resource Center. There are two options for ordering: simply use the QR code or the order form at the table. Orders must be placed by June 1, 2026. Product will be in by the end of the month. All proceeds will support our youth ministry.

Secret Sister Reveal Luncheon

Time to reveal our Secret Sisters! If you participated, our Secret Sister Reveal Luncheon will take place Sunday, May 17, immediately following service.

Senior Luncheon

Seniors! Join for our last Senior Luncheon before the summer break! We will have a picnic style lunch on Thursday, May 21, at 12:00 p.m.

Memorial Day Parade

This year GCOR will be participating in the Memorial Day Parade. We are looking for volunteers to help carry banners and hand out VBS/Community Picnic flyers along with candy. If you are interested in helping, please contact Kim Jackson.

Registration

Registration is now open for Vacation Bible School and Youth Summer Camp!

Vacation Bible School July 5 - 9
Youth Summer Camp July 19 -25 Cost: $250 (EARLY BIRD registration $200 through June 12th)

Please pray for the Lord's seed to take root in the hearts of the children and teenagers that will be attending this year.

Service Opportunity

GCOR is looking for volunteers to mow the church lawn this season. We are hoping to have at least four individuals to mow the lawn once month in a rotation. If you are interested in serving, please contact Dave Hartley.

Volunteers Needed
