Missionary Spotlight

May 2026: HC and Chingboi Hangsing

Updates and Praises:

1) Praise for good progress on the new church building.

2) Praise God that they have baptized ten people in the past few months!

3) Praise God their new grandson is healthy and growing.

Please Pray:

1) Pray for peace in their region.

2) They are in the U.S. now, as their daughter, Kezia, is graduating from Cedarville. Please pray as they help her to settle into her new role at a hospital in Florida. Also, pray that her paperwork will be ready soon.

3) They will be in the states for 2 months, so pray for safety on the road, that their car will not break down and for spiritual and physical health and strength

Baptism

Our next baptism will be Sunday, May 31, 2026. If you desire to be baptized, call or email the church office to receive the necessary information (office@gracechurchrootstown.com). Sign up deadline is today, Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Membership Class

If you would like to receive more information about the values and philosophy of Grace Church, or if you have been thinking about joining this body of believers, our next class will be immediately following the morning worship on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Attending does not necessitate membership, but anyone desiring to become a member of Grace Church needs to go through one of these classes. Please contact the church office to sign-up and receive the information handouts for the class. All Church Ice Cream social

Join us Sunday, May 17, for an Ice Cream Social! The social will be held in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the AWANA Awards Ceremony in the Worship Center.

Secret Sister Reveal Luncheon

Time to reveal our Secret Sisters! If you participated, our Secret Sister Reveal Luncheon will take place Sunday, May 17, immediately following service.

Memorial Day Parade

This year GCOR will be participating in the Memorial Day Parade. We are looking for volunteers to help carry banners and hand out VBS/Community Picnic flyers along with candy. If you are interested in helping, please contact Kim Jackson.

Senior Luncheon

Seniors! Join for our last Senior Luncheon before the summer break! We will have a picnic style lunch on Thursday, May 21, at 12:00 p.m.

Memorial Day Picnic

Picnic at the Paulding's! Join us Sunday, May 24, for a fun-filled afternoon with great food and fellowship immediately following service at the Paulding's (4902 Industry Rd, Ravenna, 44266). Brisket, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided. Please bring your lawn chairs. Sign-up sheet is at the Sign-Up Center.

Registration is now open for Vacation Bible School and Youth Summer Camp!

Vacation Bible School July 5 - 9
Youth Summer Camp July 19 -25 Cost: $250 (EARLY BIRD registration $200 through June 12th)

Grace Gear

We are excited to announce our brand-new Grace Gear Merchandise! See our full collection at the Grace Gear table located by the Resource Center. There are two options for ordering: simply use the QR code or the order form at the table. Orders must be placed by June 1, 2026. Product will be in by the end of the month. All proceeds will support our youth ministry.

Service Opportunity

GCOR is looking for volunteers to mow the church lawn this season. We are hoping to have at least four individuals to mow the lawn once month in a rotation. If you are interested in serving, please contact Dave Hartley.

Volunteers Needed

Many hands make light work! We are seeking volunteers to help maintain our restrooms. We are looking for 2-4 people to add to our team. If you can help, please contact Connor Draa.
