Blurt ("the App") is developed and operated by Sandeep Mysore. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles and why. It is written to be precise rather than reassuring: where data leaves your device, we say so.
When you record a memo, Blurt uses your device's built-in speech recognition service to turn your voice into text:
Blurt receives only the resulting text transcript.
The text transcript is sent over HTTPS to Blurt's extraction service (a Cloud Run endpoint) to identify tasks, dates, and people. The extraction service calls Google's Gemini API and discards the transcript after returning structured tasks — nothing is retained.
Blurt does not run analytics, does not show ads, and does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs.
Blurt Pro is a one-time unlock processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Blurt does not receive, store, or have access to your payment details.
All your memos and tasks live only on your device. To delete everything: open Blurt, go to Settings, and tap "Delete all data" (confirms once). Uninstalling the app also removes all local data.
For questions about data that may have been processed by our extraction service, contact us below.
Blurt is not directed at users under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We'll update this page if our practices change, with an updated revision date at the top.
