Elevate Your Thanksgiving Feast: 2022 Table Decor Trends

As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp, it's time to start thinking about Thanksgiving. This year, why not elevate your Thanksgiving table decor to new heights? We've gathered the latest trends and timeless classics to help you create a stunning and memorable tablescape that your guests will love.

Timeless Elegance: Neutral Color Palettes

Neutral color palettes are always in style and create a sophisticated atmosphere. For 2022, consider a warm and inviting color scheme inspired by nature, such as earthy greens, rich browns, and soft creams. Layer textures and patterns to add depth and interest to your table setting.

Textured Table Linens

Start with a base of textured tablecloth or runner in a neutral hue. This year, we're seeing a lot of interest in natural fibers like linen and jute. These materials add a rustic charm that pairs perfectly with the Thanksgiving aesthetic.

Layered Dishes and Glassware

Mix and match dishes and glassware in different shades of your chosen color palette. Layering different heights and textures creates a dynamic and inviting tablescape. Don't be afraid to use mismatched pieces for a unique, eclectic look.

Nature-Inspired Centerpieces

Bring the outdoors in with a nature-inspired centerpiece. This year's trends include lush greenery, seasonal flowers, and natural elements like pine cones, berries, and dried leaves.

Greenery Garlands

Create a lush, cascading effect with a greenery garland down the center of your table. Incorporate seasonal elements like bittersweet, hypericum berries, and dried hydrangea for a touch of color.

Floral Arrangements

For a more traditional look, opt for a low, lush floral arrangement. This year, we're seeing a lot of interest in dried flowers and foraged blooms. Choose a mix of flowers in your chosen color palette and arrange them in a low, wide bowl or on a wooden slice for a rustic touch.

Lighting: Candles and Lanterns

Set the mood with warm, inviting lighting. Candles and lanterns are a must for any Thanksgiving tablescape. This year, we're seeing a lot of interest in hurricanes, pillar candles, and floating candles in glass containers.

Candle Holders

Mix and match candle holders in different heights and materials to create a dynamic and interesting display. Consider using natural materials like wood or metal for a rustic touch.

Lanterns

Lanterns are a great way to add height and drama to your tablescape. Place them on the floor, on the table, or hang them from the ceiling for a magical touch.

Personalized Touches

Don't forget to add personalized touches that reflect your family's unique style and traditions. This could be anything from handwritten place cards to family heirlooms used as decor.

Place Cards

Handwritten place cards are a thoughtful way to welcome your guests to the table. Use a calligraphy pen or a fancy font to add a touch of elegance.

Family Heirlooms

Incorporate family heirlooms into your tablescape as a way to honor your family's history and traditions. This could be anything from a vintage serving dish to a beloved family photograph.
