Husky Color Sable

Sable dogs have a red, chocolate or orange undercoat (whereas wolf greys have a beige undercoat). Points (eye rims, nose and lips) are black. Individual guard hairs are banded (each strand has multiple colors).

How Many Siberian Husky Colors Are There? According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), there are at least nine officially recognized Siberian Husky colors. The AKC acknowledges all allowable colors such as red, black, gray, agouti, sable, and white and their varying shades and combinations. Sable is an extremely rare coat color for Siberian huskies.

The undercoat is a shade of red or copper, and the guard hairs are banded with red near the roots and black at the tips. Sable and White Siberians always have black points (nose and ears) and black tipping on the fur. The usual coloring is black on the root and tip of the hair, with red or tan in the middle. Points are black.

Sometimes mistaken for sable or wolf gray. An agouti Siberian should look almost exactly like a wolf in coloring. Red & White Husky Copper/Red- Perhaps the most shade variation can be seen in the coats of red & white Siberians.

Sable Sable husky has a warm glow of whites, copper, liver, black, and brown through the coat. The sable-colored husky has a deep red undercoat and the top coat contains hairs that vary in color intensity as you move up the hair tip, starting with more copper.
