Quarter round in the bathroom? Bought our house 3 years ago, the previous owners put quarter round up against the master tub and shower stall. It wasn't the plastic type that is waterproof, but the kind that you would use in the rest of the house. They have both pretty much rotted/gotten soft and look AWFUL.
Can you use PVC quarter round trim (do not use wood!)? You bet! You can miter cut the edges using a miter saw for inside or outside corners, or just run in straight from wall to wall. While this PVC quarter round is moisture-resistant, it's designed primarily for interior use as a decorative trim piece to cover gaps between flooring and walls. It's not ideal for an outdoor shower environment where it would be constantly exposed to direct water flow and potentially harsh cleaning chemicals.
For an outdoor shower floor, consider materials specifically designed for wet. Since PVC is waterproof, it works well in bathrooms when trim is needed. The best option is to go with a quarter-round PVC trim, which you an cut with a miter saw.
