Disney Hotels With Balconies: Find the Perfect Stay

Planning a magical getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth often leads to questions about accommodations, and one of the most sought-after features is a private balcony. Understanding which Disney hotels have balconies is essential for travelers looking to maximize their vacation experience, whether it’s for watching fireworks, enjoying a morning coffee, or simply having a personal space to unwind after a day of exploration.

Value Resorts: Budget-Friendly Options with Select Balconies

Disney's value resorts are designed for guests seeking comfort without extravagant frills, and several properties do include balcony accommodations. These buildings are typically more budget-conscious, so the amenities are streamlined. However, specific room categories within these resorts, often labeled as "Preferred" or "Terrace View," do provide a small outdoor balcony area perfect for enjoying the resort scenery.

Pop Century Resort

As a tribute to classic Disney pop culture, Pop Century offers a vibrant atmosphere. While the majority of its rooms are standard, the resort features dedicated "Preferred" buildings, such as those in Sections C, G, H, J, and N, which include a compact balcony for guests to enjoy.

Art of Animation Resort

The Art of Animation Resort is the largest value resort, themed around legendary Disney animation. Similar to Pop Century, this resort has specific "Reserve" buildings that feature rooms with private balconies, providing a quiet retreat amidst the playful theming.

Moderate Resorts: Balcony Availability Expands

Moving up the spectrum, moderate resorts often provide a better ratio of balcony-equipped rooms. These properties usually feature more spacious accommodations, and many of the standard room categories include a small balcony, making it a popular choice for families and couples alike.

Beach Club Resorts

Located on the serene Crescent Lake, Disney's Beach Club Resort offers an elegant atmosphere. Many of its standard rooms are configured with a small balcony, allowing guests to enjoy picturesque views of the lake and the iconic golf course backdrop.

Riverside Lodge

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is a rustic retreat, and the Magnolia Terrace and Redwood Riverfront rooms at the Riverside Lodge section provide a private balcony overlooking the peaceful surroundings, perfect for nature enthusiasts.

Premium and Deluxe Resorts: Spacious Retreats with Scenic Views

For guests seeking a more luxurious experience, the premium and deluxe resorts frequently offer the highest concentration of balcony accommodations. These rooms are often significantly larger and provide expansive views of the resort grounds, lagoons, or iconic landmarks.

Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Modeled after Victorian-era grand hotels, the Grand Floridian is a stunning property where many standard rooms and preferred categories feature a balcony with views of the Seven Seas Lagoon, creating a truly enchanting stay.

Polynesian Village Resort

Boating access to the Magic Kingdom is a key feature of the Polynesian, and its "Bora Bora" buildings offer rooms with spacious balconies. These terraces provide breathtaking vistas of the lagoon and the nightly fireworks launch, making them a prime location for memorable vacations.

Contemporary Resort

Recently renovated with a modern aesthetic, the Contemporary Resort's "Lake" and "Mountain" view rooms often include a large balcony. This feature is a major draw for guests who want to immerse themselves in the stunning landscape of Seven Seas Lagoon or the iconic monorail pylons.

Maximizing Your Stay: The Benefits of a Balcony

Choosing a room with a balcony offers distinct advantages that enhance the Disney experience beyond the parks. A private outdoor space allows for a peaceful morning ritual with coffee and pastries, a convenient spot to store theme park bags, and an unparalleled vantage point to watch the nightly fireworks without the massive crowds gathering in the parks.

Booking Tips: Securing the View You Want

Not every room at these resorts includes a balcony, so it is crucial to be specific during the reservation process. When booking directly through Disney, utilize the room search filters that allow you to select "Balcony" or view detailed room descriptions. Paying attention to the specific building or room category code is vital to ensure you get the outdoor space you desire for your trip.
