Bmw 740i Reddit

I want a BMW again, and I'm hoping that a turbo 6 cyl. with no sport package might be easier to live with. What do you guys think about reliability on the newest generation 740i? I'm looking at 2016 models with less than 35k miles for around $40k. Thanks for your thoughts,Chris 03-24-2019,02:45 PM #2 jclausen Jbird Join Date Jan 2016 Location.

I know that BMWs in general aren't all that reliable, but I love the look and power of the 7 series. I posted this just to get an idea of what I should expect if I buy one with 75.

My friends bmw 7 series is in the shop right now and it's a few grand to fix. If you want luxury, reliability, cheaper maintenance, and cheaper to fix when something does go wrong then go with Lexus or genesis. If you're going to spend 100k on a bmw or Audi just go all out and buy a bad ass one like an rs5 or m5.

740i should be more than good enough, it's got decent power and it's pretty smooth. You'll probably be alright without xDrive but in your climate I might recommend winter tires. They'll increase traction in snow quite a bit and more importantly they'll make a huge difference in stopping distances which no AWD system will help you with.

Hi All, Looking at getting a 2016 BMW 740i with 78000 miles. Wondering how the reliability is, and what the common issues are? Or, should I just skip it. like the earlier N63s? Any input appreciated! Thanks!

How reliable is a used 2019 740i with 18k miles? Are they a sensible purchase? Hey all, I'm looking to upgrade to a proper luxobarge, but I've heard some really nasty things about cars like these giving owners trouble sub 30k miles. Do you all have any advice? Would a car like this be a good buy for $56k? Thanks!
