Your API key is stored locally on your device and is never shared with our servers. We use it only to authenticate your requests to the Gemini AI service.

Where to get your API key?
You can obtain your API key from Google AI Studio by following these steps:
- Visit Google AI Studio
- Sign in with your Google account
- Navigate to "API Keys" section
- Create a new API key
- Copy and paste it here
The API key allows GemChat to access Gemini's AI capabilities on your behalf.
