# CalCOFI integrated database release v2026.08.02

## A full rebuild on the core-only model

Every dataset's core projection SQL moved out of calcofi4db into the ingest notebook that owns it
(calcofi4db 3.2.0 deleted the `switch(dataset_key, …)` arms — the release had re-derived the core
from its own inline copy and the two copies drifted, each divergence a silent data error).
`obs_mets_full` and `taxon` are catalogued; spatial tables renamed. `obs` 18.7 M → 20.1 M.
