CalCOFI 9802JD CTD files were reprocessed May 2016 to update the data files for
importing into the CTD database. Using the 9802arch.ieh, bottle data were used
to cruise and station correct sensor data. The CTD, at this time, had only one
set of primary T, C, & O2 sensors. Sea-tech fluorometer & transmissometer, PAR,
Benthos altimeter (SN#159, not entered in the .con file). The CTD was a SBE911
(non-plus model). Data were processed using Seasoft 4.249 DOS version since the
.con file would not work with the Windows version. An .xmlcon was created from
scratch but the CTD oxygen was not calculating properly so WindowsXP cmd.exe was
used to process the data to .asc files.
BtlVsCTD was run in IEH-mode and after adjusting for sensor labeling differences
in the .hdr files, were successfully merged with IEH bottle data. Although many
columns are empty compared to current (2016) data collected, the addition of all
CTD data into the database is planned.

Notes from Console Ops Binder

CTD config Jan 23 1998 by FR (JRW off)
SBE 911 - 9-01/0203 Deck Unit v1
T1 - 1049; C1 - 722; O21 - 120 Beckman/YSI; Fluor - 91s Seatech; Trans - 521 Seatech;
Altimeter - 159 Benthos 2110; Pylon - 139 (ours); Pump - 68; Rem PAR - 4271

Note: The bottle chlorophyll vs fluorometer voltage plot indicates there may have
been a change in fluorometer sensitivity during the cruise but there is no note
specifying a change.
VO & V1 annotations from the deck test were recorded on the console ops and
listed below. They indicate V0 max/min transmissometer voltage and V1 fluor min/max voltage
Transmissometer voltage is used to calculate M & B coefficients; fluorometer voltage
is just used to insure the fluorometer is responding properly (10v max using finger or palm)
Cast 01 - V0 = 9.502/0.002 V1 = 0.139/10.00; bottle #24 came up closed, possibly
tripped with bottle #1 (GO pylon)
Cast 02 - Chl max ~20m
Cast 03 - Chl max 0-50m; bottle #13 did not close
Cast 04 - chl max 0-55m
Cast 05 - chl max @ 50m
Cast 06 - upcast 50-0m much different than downcast
Cast 07 - chl max ~50m; downcast speed at 40m/min because of big rolls; O2 inversion
     @200m downcast; V0 (trans) = 9.350/0.002 v1 = 0.100/10.000 (finger)
Cast 10 - bottle #1 mistripped, closed near surface; tiny chl max @100m
Cast 11 - V0 = 9.331/0.002 V1 = 0.095/9.875
Cast 15 - ODF pylon installed pre-cast, no SN recorded; V0 = 9.331/0.002 V1 = 0.095/10.00
Cast 18 - ~25mins of deck data recorded at end of cast, operator did not shut down the cast
	upon retrieval.
Cast 21 - bottle #2 tripped at 340 instead of 440m so CTD was sent back down to get 380,
440m bottle was missed; error message upon shutdown "not enough memory to display form"
seems to close & backup properly
Cast 22 - error message again when stopping cast using <Ctrl>F1, "not enough memory..."
Cast 23 - extra marker @440m, edited from file post-cast; V0= 9.492/0.002 V1= 0.105/10.00
Cast 27 - downcast speed kept at 30m/min to 200m to resolve lots of stratification
Cast 28 - V0= 9.580/0.002 V1= 0.085/10.00
Cast 30-31 - Status line set to altimeter, no conductivity logged on screen or recorded on
	console ops
Cast 33 - V0= 9.546/0.002 V1= 0.115/10.00
Cast 36 - V0= 9.575/0.002 V1= 0.115/10.00
Cast 40 - V0= 9.565/0.002 V1= 0.105/10.00
Cast 43 - V0= 9.570/0.002 V1= 0.115/9.825; heavy rolls, rapidly changing wire
	angles; down & upcast @40m/min
Cast 44 - after 20hr bad weather delay, sta work resumed; still rough so downcast
@30m/min; bottle #21 mistripped no sample; 24 came up closed
Cast 45 - winds have died but seas are still large & confused; downcast 30m/min then 40
Cast 46 - PAR signal noisy on downcast but okay on upcast
Cast 51 - Santa Barbara Basin, chl max at surface
Cast 53 - downcast @30m/min due to large rolls; wire angles variable on upcast
Cast 54 - downcast @30m/min due to large rolls; wire angles variable on upcast
Cast 56 - 30m/min downcast due to rolls; #21 O2 test case; Mitchell sample from #20
Cast 60 - V0= 9.399/0.002 V1= 0.115/-0.039/10.00 (block voltage added)
Cast 61 - PAR signal noisy then gone at 110m, failed
Cast 64 - Remote PAR connector cleaned; cable grip moved up the wire to reduce
	tension & friction
Cast 65 - no Mitchell sample taken
