CalCOFI 0207NH CTD Processing Notes
Overall a pretty clean cruise with no data issues except low 1m surface
salinities on upcasts. Many surface salinities were low but I did not see any notes
on rain or rough weather causing the CTD to "pop-out". So many 1m primary salinities
are datacoded "9". Use the 2m salinities for surface values as they are more reliable.

Casts with 1m datacoded primary salt: 005, 007, 008, 010, 011, 012, 015, 016, 018,
020, 021, 023, 024, 025, 031, 032, 033, 034, 036, 038, 041, 045, 046, 048, 049, 050,
052, 053, 055, 056, 059, 060 - 066.

Remember we usually stop the CTD at 2-3m below surface before retrieval so the 1m data
are mostly the measurements as the CTD is lifted out of the water. Ship roll may also
contribute when the sea state is choppy or rough.

Seabird 911+ sensor configuration: V0: Open, V1: Transmissometer, V2: Altimeter,
V3: Remote PAR, V4: YSI/Beckman O2 Current, V5: YSI/Beckman O2 Temp, V6: Seapoint
Fluorometer, V7: Open

I tried both non-loopedited & loopedited to see if the data would smooth out but did
not see much difference. Probably because we use the Window-filter module (SBE Data
Processing Module: wFilter) right after Datcnv (see CalCOFI Data Processing Protocol).
