CalCOFI 0211NH CTD Data Processing Notes

Standard 66 station CalCOFI with Seabird 911+ CTD deployed. Dual T & C, single Beckman/YSI O2 sensor
(which often does poorly at surface), single transmissometer, Seapoint fluorometer (primary) and
Seatech &/or Wetlabs ancillary flurormeter(s). BtlVSCTD does not handle dual fluorometers configured in
the .hdr/.con files well. So manually editing the .asc headers were necessary to label the column voltage
configuration.
When plotting regressions for three fluorometer voltage vs chl-a relationships. Columns were added to the Excel spreadsheet.
See below for cast configuration.

Cast 001-033: V0 = Tr, V1 = Free, V2 = Alt, V3 = Remote PAR, V4 = BEckman O2 Current, V5 = Beckman O2 T,
V6 = Seapoint Fluorometer at 1x, V7 = Free
Voltage headers were replaced manually because the header (.hdr) are misconfigured for cast 001-033.
There does not appear to be a second fluorometer AND transmissometer is on V0 not V1. This is configured
in the .con & .hdr files. Transmissometer data data do not look good for the first 33 stations.

Cast 034-048: V1 = Seatech/Wetlabs Fl, V1 = Transmissometer, V2 = Alt, V3 = Remote PAR, V4 = BEckman O2 Current,
V5 = Beckman O2 T, V6 = Seapoint Fluorometer at 1x, V7 = Free
Transmissometer is on V1; two fluorometers were deployed: primary on V6, ancillary on V0

Cast 049-066: V0 = Transmissometer, V1 = Wetlabs ECO Fl, V2 = Alt, V3 = Remote PAR, V4 = BEckman O2 Current,
V5 = Beckman O2 T, V6 = Seapoint Fluorometer at 1x, V7 = Free
Transmissometer is on V0; two fluorometers were deployed: primary on V6, ancillary on V1
Ancillary fluorometer(s) may be the same one but with different sensitivity settings. Refer to the two
additional fluorometer regression plots for estimated chlorophyll-a. No notes found.
