0304JD Data Processing Notes, 2020 re-processing

CalCOFI 0304RR on RV Roger Revelle performed the southern 66 stations + one extra
at 93.3 26.4. Bottle samples were collected and an IEH plus Data Report published.
While the RV Roger Revelle was finishing CalCOFI station 77.49 on Apr 19 2003,
just north of Pt. Conception. NOAA RV David Starr Jordan contined the CalCOFI
station pattern north. Arriving on Line 73.3 on Apr 15 2003, the Jordan continued
the hydrographic survey northward to San Francisco, trawling between CTD casts.
The Jordan deployed a NOAA 911+ CTD with single temperature, conductivity, oxygen,
transmissometer, & fluorometer. If bottle samples were collected, these data were
not available during processing in 2020. So although the data were processed using
the SIO-CalCOFI processing protocol & software. SBE Data Processing software suite
v7.23.2 was used as prescribed by Seabird but data were not bottle-corrected.
Since no bottle data were available, plots of bottle+CTD data were not generated.
These data will not be in the CalCOFI hydrographic bottle database but can be
included in the CTD database although not bottle-corrected. T & S should still be
good, perhaps O2 as well.

Note: the first Jordan CTD cast numbers (filenames) were edited to continue the
chronology-sequence of the 1st Revelle leg, which ended on cast 067*.
0304JD casts changes: 030466 > 0304068, 030467 > 0304069, 030468 > 0304070
Please note that a leading zero was also added to the cast filenames for all casts
less than 100 (030468 > 0304068). There were additional casts headers (.hdr)
without the CalCOFI Line & Station designation. These (sometimes) duplicate casts
were originally numerically labeled. So the correct CalCOFI Line & Sta numbers were
calculated and keyed-in so CTD csv filenaming would be correct.
A bottle vs CTD spreadsheet was not generated because an IEH data file with bottle
sample data was not available.

*0304RR: RV Roger Revelle "boxed" the station pattern after finishing sta 77.49.
Occupying all the stations on Line 73 a second time while sailing offshore. Then
occupied all the end-of-the-line stations on Lines 80, 83, 87, 90, & 93 as she
sailed southward. While sailing shoreward on Line 93, CTD casts were performed on
all stations with the last sta being 93.28. These CTD data are available as ancillary
CTD casts, not included in the CalCOFI time-series.
