2020 Data Re-Processing Notes
Stations 001, 002, & 051 .hdr required editing to correctly format the CalCOFI
Line & Station number: 93.26.7 > 93.3 26.7, 93.26.5 > 93.3 26.4, 83.40.6 >
83.3 40.6.
Previous notes from 2003 stated there was a pressure spike on casts 13 & 54 that
required editing of the asc files. With applying WFilter, according to the newest
processing method (ie new reprocessing format/method), these spikes were not seen
so no corrections were necessary.
The sensor data look pretty clean overall so no quality codes were added. There
may be some questionable data in deep salinity data on two casts but they were
not flagged.

Processing: SBE Data Processing v 7.23.2 was used on these data using 2019/2020
protocol: Datcnv, WFilter, Filter, AlignCTD (0.73 offset of Cond2; 4sec offset of
O2 (V6), Cell Thermal Mass, Derive, Split, Binavg, AsciiOut.
Note that Wildedit was not used and Loopedit was not applied to the downcast.
Bottle Summary was also used to convert .ros files to .btl files.

BtlVsCTD.exe was used using an updated "arch" IEH file. Add2Tho2.exe was run on
the downloaded IEH to add Sigma-theta & O2saturation columns. This is necessary
to add these to columns to the bottle data appended onto the CTD asc columns.
Plus needed to calculate bottle O2 in uMol/Kg. Note: that BtlVsCTD does not label
these columns in the merged csv so "Sig-theta, Btl_OxSat, Btl_OxUM" column headers
are manually added to the bottle-correction regression spreadsheet.
Plots in Excel were generated from the single CTD O2 sensor vs bottle O2 data,
& Fluorometer voltage (V4) vs bottle chl-a. Salinity offsets were calculated using
bottle salts greater than 350m.

Sensor Voltage configuration:
V0 - Transmissometer
V1 - Free
V2 - Altimeter
V3 - Remote PAR
V4 - Seapoint Fluorometer 1x
V5 - Free
V6 - SBE43 O2
V7 - Free

No Surface Par was available on RV Roger Revelle for the deck unit. But there may
have been one installed on the MET system so refer to underway data if interested.
