0801JD Data Notes

1). Bridge did not want to maintain a station operations log so we set up the
Event logs on tablet pcs in the Wet lab & secondary CTD pc.

2). We were able to run on the ship's network and use their HP 3550 color laser.

3). ISUS sensor was purged around sta 45 because response became "steppy"

4). GPS to the event log and CTD (and other main lab data loggers) progressively
broke down ie occasional bad strings, by the end of the cruise, became complete
garbage. Kim, the NOAA ET, found it to be the B&B repeater at the main feed
into the lab. No easy workaround so I propose we start bring our old Garmin
	GPS and antenna as backup.

5). Last few stations do not have GPS since Seasoft will not log data if the
NEMA option is selected in the cfg.

6). There were several days of bad weather and large ship rolls including days
	of no station work.

7). All SIO, marine mammal, bird observer, nutrient analyst, & volunteer go off
in Monterey on Jan 26. Avila Beach dropoff was cancelled because of rough
conditions. Robert Thombley stayed on to help out and they completed 5 (3 MBARI
	Line 67, 2 CalCOFI Line 77) stations.

8).  JRW did prodo(16 total)/O2s; DMW was TC,8-8/Salts; JLW was 12-0000/Salt;
RLT was 0000-1200/O2/CTD terminator. All did chls.

9). No serious problems with CTD except ship's GPS issues.
