assets in New York and are scaling our tech team to expand across all US energy markets.
Job Description
Therefore, we are looking for a software engineer with a proven track record
of successfully leading development projects from start to finish. You'll actively contribute
significantly to our day-to-day decision-making process and long-term strategic planning. In
addition, you'll be expected to contribute to all technology stacks as needed, with a focus on
backend and DevOps. While this will be a demanding role given the complexity of the
fragmented energy markets and the vision for the platform, this opportunity will provide a

What You Will Do
Recruit, onboard, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing software engineering team
Build core engineering infrastructure, including new product features and
enhancements
Deliver ambitious roadmaps and create technical design documents on time and with high quality
Develop analysis and prepare documentation to support the Leadership Team decision process
Coordinate with the Data Science team to develop
technical plans to be delivered to investors and executive team
Work closely with the the Data Science team to implement new
regionally specific features / trading strategies
What We Are Looking For
5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably at a big tech, energy, or high
growth startup
Demonstrated leadership skills, successful outcome leading a project / platform
Presentation skills, capable of presenting internally to leadership and externally to
partners
Well-versed in Python, SQL databases and query writing
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud development
Ability to quickly implement and iterate on end-to-end solutions for a wide variety of
data management problems
Self-starter that is accountable, collaborative and defaults to action
Bonus Points
Product management experience
Knowledge of energy markets: ERCOT, CAISO, NYISO, NE-ISO, PJM
Interest in or experience with quantitative trading, game theory, machine learning,
optimization, expected value
Relentlessly positive attitude, strong work ethic and sense of humor
