Well, BMW's answer to that joke is bold, perhaps a little cheeky, and likely to spark debate across forums, garages and social feeds worldwide. In my previous post I discussed the decision making process that led to me leasing a BMW i4 eDrive35 as the replacement for my Model 3 Performance being my daily driver.
So now I've officially owned the car for 2 weeks, here is what I think of it so far. What BMW is doing, by introducing electric cars into its range, isn't a betrayal of the brand. In fact, what I drove yesterday felt more like "The ultimate driving machine" than any previous BMW i've driven in the last 5/6 years, and that's saying something.
Were there a couple of things I found annoying and/or cheap? A hybrid platform works for BMW since the significant fixed costs in creating and manufacturing a platform are spread across EV and ICE models, and the higher variable cost isn't as big a factor in higher margin luxury products.
