Your use of the mapping tool is voluntary. CDFW provides this mapping tool to assist the public with generalized information on a subset of recently collared wolf locations in the State. The information provided by this tool is not comprehensive and should not be relied upon as an exhaustive compilation of wolf locations in California. CDFW may modify or discontinue the tool at any time in its sole discretion for any reason, including use of the tool related to unauthorized impacts to wolves or other wildlife or trespass on private property. CDFW cannot accept any responsibility for any errors, omissions, or positional accuracy, and therefore, there are no warranties, express or implied, which accompany this tool. Modification or termination of the tool by CDFW may occur without notice or liability to any user. CDFW shall not be held liable for improper or incorrect use of the data described and/or contained herein. The tool does not represent an official response from any State entity and does not itself meet any information requirements associated with the California Endangered Species Act or the California Environmental Quality Act and should not be regarded as complete data on the presence of wolves or wolf habitat in the State. The presence or absence of data does not constitute the basis for any legal finding under local, State or federal law.
