Business Purpose
Davis Detail and Design is a growing event planning business. As the
company continues to gain popularity in its local area, Davis Detail and
Design seeks to expand its global reach by increasing its digital presence.
This will require supplying all team members with a company phone and
laptop.
To ensure team members are well-equipped with the knowledge and
understanding of how to utilize these new devices most effectively both in
and away from the office for business purposes, the technology rollout
team at Davis Detail and Design will need to be trained on digital citizenship
and how to implement these practices within the company before, during,
and after team members have been given their devices.
This training is designed to equip the Davis Detail and Design technology
rollout team with the necessary knowledge and understanding of digital
citizenship and how to effectively implement these practices within their
organization. With this knowledge, they will then train fellow team
members on these practices so the company can begin implementing these
practices at a rate of at least 90% of the time when conducting business
using digital devices.
Target Audience
The primary target audience are members of the Davis Detail and Design
technology rollout team who, via pre-training surveys and interviews,
have shown that they either have limited knowledge of digital
citizenship practices or how to properly implement digital citizenship
as a consistent company practice.
Training Time
1 hour. This amount of time will allow learners to carefully listen to, engage
with, and review all content (if necessary).

Recommendation
The technology rollout team members should receive e-learning training
due to their varying work schedules and availability. E-learning training will
allow them the flexibility to engage with content as they are available. This
e-learning training, however, will have a completion deadline scheduled
before devices can be handed out.
The technology rollout team should also have R.E.P. (Respect, Educate, and
Protect) and P.E.A.C.E. (Protection, Education, Access, Courtesy, and
Empathy) infographic job aids if they need a reminder of the digital
citizenship themes (R.E.P.), the elements that fall under each theme
(R.E.P.), or the key principles to remember for effective implementation of
digital citizenship practices (P.E.A.C.E.).
